The caravan, which belonged to the Girls Friendly Society based in Frenchay, a suburb of Bristol, was driven by Molly Elliott of Cliff Court, and was accompanied by a group of her friends from the Society. The Motor-Caravan was a significant acquisition for the Society, allowing its members to embark on adventures and explore new places together. The group's journey took place between May 23 and June 15, 1927, and they were captured here at Guiseley during their travels. The Motor-Caravan was a symbol of independence and freedom for these young women, and the opportunity to experience the beauty of the English countryside in a new and exciting way.
