Baden Powell House, South Kensington, London
Staircase at the back of the newly built Baden Powell House, South Kensington, London. The site was acquired in 1956, and Ralph Tubbs was appointed architect. The foundation stone was laid by Lady Olave Baden Powell in 1959, and the building was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1961. The building received a number of awards. It is still used today as a scouting hostel and conference venue. Date: 13 March 1961
