However, the pub was severely damaged during another bombing raid on December 8, 1940, and remained closed until April 10, 1941. During this time, the upper floors were demolished, leaving only the ground floor as a lock-up. Despite the damage, the Black Horse Pub continued to serve its community, offering a vital source of resilience and connection during difficult times. The pub's rich history is a testament to the enduring spirit of Bloomsbury and its residents.
